Ocho People Ltd. is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer to design and run a secure hosting core spanning on-prem, private cloud, OCI, AWS and Azure. You will write production code daily, lead architecture decisions, and mentor senior engineers in a fully remote role based in the UK or Ireland.

You will drive identity and access management via Entra ID, manage PKI with Vault, and push for zero-trust security with policy-as-code, SLO-driven operations and automated recovery.

Competenze

• Senior/lead engineer with production infra experience.
• Expert in at least one statically typed backend language.
• Hybrid and multi-cloud design across on-prem/private/public cloud.
• Deep PKI and certificate authority experience with mTLS at scale.
• Strong identity knowledge: Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML.
• Secrets management and encryption in transit/rest.
• DNS & network security: TLS, firewalls, segmentation, zero trust
• SRE: SLOs, error budgets, telemetry and incident response
• Experience building control planes with drift detection and RFCs/API specs.
• Based in the UK with the right to work here.

Mansioni

• Design the secure hosting core across on-prem/private cloud/OCI/AWS/Azure
• Lead the move from Active Directory to Entra ID and build internal identity platform
• Design/run the CA on Vault with mTLS and automated issuance/rotation
• Maintain Vault secrets with rotation and credential management
• Design/run DNS with DNSSEC and Cloudflare protections
• Build policy-driven control planes for DNS/load balancers/firewalls with API access
• Shift network policy to policy-as-code and enable zero trust
• Develop policy-as-code decision services and supply-chain controls
• Operate the platform to SLOs with telemetry and safe releases
• Lead design reviews, post-incident reviews and mentoring senior engineers
