Job summary

Rowden in Bristol is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to build the Internal Developer Platform that supports our engineering teams. You will own the tooling, infrastructure, and workflows to make development fast, repeatable, and reliable.

You will lead the implementation of agentic AI, advocate for its use across CI/CD and development, and shape platform services that engineers choose by default. This role combines leadership with hands-on platform work.

Qualifications

• Senior/Principal level engineering experience leading platform teams.
• Proven track record building developer platforms and internal tooling.
• Hands-on experience implementing agentic AI in engineering workflows.
• Experience designing guardrails for agentic AI and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the Internal Developer Platform used by engineering teams.
• Own CI/CD, source control, and environments end-to-end.
• Champion new tooling and drive adoption across teams.
• Lead agentic AI implementation across development workflows.
