Job summary

CDP is seeking a Principal Engineer for Platform Integration & Architecture to enhance how services integrate across the CDP stack. You will document the current state, align leaders on integration principles, and drive a practical roadmap with hands-on involvement and design reviews.

You will work with tech leads and squads to define target models, patterns for service boundaries, and a scalable integration strategy for the platform. This role is London-based with hybrid working expectations.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience designing and improving integration architecture across multiple services.
• Strong engineering background in modern web stacks and practical experience in CDP’s stack.
• Experience aligning multiple teams on shared technical approaches and standards.
• Excellent written communication and ability to produce useful documentation.

Responsibilities

• Audit and document the existing platform architecture and integrations across services.
• Create architecture diagrams and documentation to support delivery and decision-making.
• Identify integration bottlenecks, inconsistencies, and technical debt, and propose concrete changes.
• Work with tech leads to agree shared integration principles and guidelines across squads.
• Define a target integration model and create a pragmatic roadmap for improvement.
• Support squads with design input, code reviews, and unblocking decisions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, QA, Product, Platform and infra teams.
