Prism Digital is seeking a Principal Architect to lead platform-wide architecture across multiple squads. You will balance hands-on coding with high-level design, defining integration standards and a clear roadmap to unify diverse services.

The London hybrid role reports to the CTO and shapes engineering standards globally. The ideal candidate brings depth in TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and system design, with proven ability to align teams and reduce technical debt while delivering on strategic

Qualifications

• Platform-wide architecture leadership across multiple teams and products.
• Document current and target-state architecture for a complex estate.
• Define integration standards, contracts, and shared engineering principles.
• Drive technical debt reduction with multi-year roadmaps and alignment.
• Hands-on engineering involvement, reverse-engineering live integrations.
• Expertise in TypeScript and Node.js coupled with system design.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture initiatives that span several squads and platforms.
• Define and enforce integration standards and governance across services.
• Develop and communicate a clear multi-year roadmap for platform evolution.
• Work closely with tech leads, providing hands-on coding where needed.
• Mentor senior engineers and help grow the architecture function.
