The Planner Jobs Redactive Publishing Limited is seeking a Principal Planning Officer for the East Midlands. The role offers mainly remote work, with site visits and key meetings as required, and an office location to be discussed upon application.

You will be responsible for managing major and complex development proposals, supporting the head of planning to meet national and local targets, and occasionally attending the office on a weekly or biweekly basis.

Do you want to work for a highly motivated local authority planning team who consistently delivers a high level of service?

You will be mainly working from home, with the exception of site visits and key meetings. The office location can be discussed upon application to the role.

This newly created role is because of an increase in workload due to continued development in the local area. The local authority is looking to bring in an experienced planner that can hit the ground running with minimal supervision.

You will be required to work both individually and as part of a team to continue the high level of service that the local authority operate to currently

To be successful in this position you MUST HAVE:

• Be comfortable working from home and using Microsoft Teams/Zoom
• Please note this role would suit an experienced principal planner or major applications planner

Role & Responsibilities:

• Dealing with major/complex developments proposals.
• Assists the head of planning and managers in meeting national and local development management targets.
• Be able to attend the office once a week/fortnight

On offer is an hourly rate of up to £62p/h for the right candidate.
