The NCCPM is run on behalf of the NHS Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP) by the Medical Physics Department of the Royal Surrey County Hospital. NHS England (NHSE) provides core funding, with additional funding obtained through research bids. NCCPM plays a key role in ensuring the quality and radiation safety of NHSBSP work.
This position is suitable for any current 8A/B physicist seeking to gain deeper experience in mammography. An excellent scientist is required for this post; candidates should be flexible, enthusiastic, effective communicators, and team players. The role involves national and international travel. State registration is required. The position can be adapted for part-time work, with options for flexible working and some remote work.
