Job summary

NRL Recruitment is seeking a Principal OT Cybersecurity Consultant for an on-site role at AWE, Reading. You will lead secure OT/ICS architectures and drive risk-based security across critical national infrastructure within a world‑leading nuclear environment.

This 12-month contract requires active UK DV clearance and a proven consulting background with strong client engagement. You will support security accreditation, liaise with regulators and senior stakeholders, and contribute to bids across

Qualifications

• Significant experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity, architecture and risk management.
• Expert understanding of IEC62443, NCSCCAF, NIS Regulations and ONR Security Assessment Principles.
• Proven background in safety-critical, regulated or high-hazard environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of secure OT/ICS cybersecurity architectures.
• Conduct and oversee cybersecurity risk assessments and assurance activities.
• Apply industry and regulatory standards, including IEC62443, NCSCCAF, NISRegulations, and ONRSecurityAssessmentPrinciples.
• Support security accreditation processes and liaise with regulators and senior stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership across OTcybersecurity initiatives.
• Contribute to bids, solution development and client relationship growth across CNI, nuclear, and defence sectors.

Location and Working Pattern

This role is on‑site at AWE, Reading. Given the level of clearance required, on‑site presence is essential to meet project and security requirements.
