Join us as a Senior / Principal Structural Integrity Safety Case Engineer and play a vital role in assessing risks for our nuclear clients. Help us realize our low carbon energy ambitions and shape a better future for our planet and its people. This is a great opportunity to join one of the strongest structural integrity safety case teams in the industry, working across all key clients.

Your purpose:

In this role, you might lead a team to produce engineering substantiation or author a complex safety case, supporting critical decision-making in the design, operation, and decommissioning of nuclear facilities. You may also influence the client’s strategic direction regarding structural integrity challenges for new build designs or existing assets, network to develop business, or deliver technical presentations to regulators.

This position offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients, including nuclear generation (Advanced Gas Cooled Reactors and Sizewell B), Rolls Royce Pressurized Water Reactors, new build projects like Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C, and innovative players from fusion and SMR markets. You will lead technical project delivery, solve complex problems, and present solutions to stakeholders. A drive for excellent technical work and attention to detail is essential.

You will also contribute to and learn from the wider technical community at AtkinsRéalis, leveraging global expertise and fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers, supporting our growth and enhancing our project delivery capabilities while developing your leadership skills.

We value your individuality and provide policies and networks to support staff from different backgrounds. If you have a disability, inform us before your interview to discuss adjustments.

  • Double matching Company pension scheme (up to 10%).
  • 25 days' holiday, with options to buy or sell days for work-life balance.
  • Share investment plan.
  • Flexible and hybrid working, including opportunities to work abroad for up to 20 days per year.
  • Health and Wellbeing benefits, including flu jabs, digital GP, and health checks.
  • Sustainable benefits like electric vehicles and cycle-to-work schemes.
  • Discounts, professional membership fee coverage, life assurance, income protection, and other salary sacrifice benefits.
