Nottingham City Council is seeking a Principal Planning Officer to manage complex planning applications and oversee development projects. The successful candidate will have a degree in Town Planning, extensive experience, and strong project management skills. This role offers hybrid working arrangements and competitive pay.
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Worker Type: Hybrid Worker
Salary: Starting Salary is £39,513 (Level one) rising to £42,708 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

About the Role
To actively and effectively promote the Council's vision, values, aims, objectives and priorities, putting our citizens first through the delivery of best value services.
The Principal Planning Officer will be responsible for managing a varied and complex caseload of planning applications, contributing to the delivery of Nottingham's strategic planning objectives.This position involves managing complex planning applications, overseeing large-scale development projects and shaping strategic policies that align with Nottingham's growth ambitions, sustainability goals, and local community needs. The role demands a high level of expertise in urban planning, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
