A local government authority in Nottingham is seeking a Principal Officer to manage and deliver highway network duties. The ideal candidate will work closely with various stakeholders and support the service manager. The Traffic & Flood Risk Management Service area seeks to deliver an excellent customer-focused service in an efficient, effective, and economic manner, with a specific focus on the Council's role as the Highway Authority whilst adhering to Corporate, Departmental and Government priorities. The Principal Officer's primary purpose is to support the Technical Lead and Service Manager in the leadership and management of a multi-discipline team to effectively manage, develop and deliver the Network Management duties of the City Council. The role promotes and co-ordinates works on the Nottingham City highway network, working with statutory undertakers and developers to ensure high quality, low impact working practices and building professional relationships with all works promoters and developers while supporting the Service Manager with corporate decisions and programmes.
We are looking for a proactive and efficient individual who can put citizens and customers first, work with a range of internal and external stakeholders, and who is organised and has excellent communication skills to maintain the service area’s outputs to professional standards.
