The Principal Medical Copywriter is a senior figure in the creative department, the copywriting team and on client accounts. The role involves both medical copywriting and aspects of management. You’re responsible for translating scientific language into compelling, emotive copy for a range of medical audiences. Words are your tools and you have mastered them. You have incredible scientific knowledge and play a lead role communicating with clients, medics and colleagues alike. You will have a team and people management responsibilities. You help copywriters develop their craft to deliver materials of the highest quality. You lead by example. You encourage the team to always push the boundaries and elevate the work. In this senior-level role, you will be viewed as a leader and valued partner by overseeing quality content development, providing scientific guidance both internally and externally on current and new business, and motivating and inspiring your team.
We are looking for an experienced and strategically minded medical copywriter capable of leading a team of copywriters. You will be the go-to person for clients and colleagues looking for scientific and medical copywriting counsel. If someone has a question about writing, you can answer it. You help accounts generate business and play a lead role in the continued development of the copywriting team.
