Job summary

Bilfinger UK is seeking a senior mechanical and piping engineering leader to deliver concept through execution design on multi-discipline EPC projects across Oil & Gas, Renewables, and utilities. You will mentor engineers, ensure compliance with UK regulations and standards, and oversee quality of design packages.

The role requires Chartered Engineer status (preferred), strong time management, and ability to chair design reviews, communicate scope changes, and manage vendor interfaces.

Qualifications

Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or MEng).
Chartered Engineer status or progression toward CEng is preferred.
Experience as Lead/Principal Engineer on multi-discipline EPC projects.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical and piping design across EPC/ EPM projects, from concept to execution.
Deliver designs spanning Oil & Gas, Renewables, Utilities.
Ensure quality and compliance with UK regulations and standards.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers and designers.
Oversee design reviews and change communications with clients and vendors.
Support safety studies, risk assessments and compliance.
