Lusona Consultancy in Inverness is seeking a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical design of building services projects from concept to completion. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, focus on programme delivery, and maintain client relationships while ensuring technical quality and profitability.

Formación

• Degree in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in mechanical design within building services.
• Chartered or close to achieving chartership (CIBSE or IMechE).
• Experience leading projects and client-facing teams.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Hevacomp, IESVE.
• Strong understanding of UK building regulations and CIBSE/BS standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership and coordination skills.
• Salary up to £65,000 per annum.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the mechanical design and delivery of building services projects from concept through to completion.
• Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams.
• Take responsibility for programme delivery, technical quality and project profitability.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a key point of contact.
• Undertake detailed mechanical design calculations and technical reviews.
• Guide and mentor junior and intermediate engineers.
• Support business development, fee proposals and tender submissions.
• Ensure designs comply with current legislation, industry standards and sustainability targets.
