Job summary

ETA Green Power, Ltd. is looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer in Hethel. The candidate will be responsible for the mechanical design, thermal performance, and integration of electric motors. This role covers the entire development cycle from concept through validation and production readiness.

The successful candidate should possess strong experience in electric machine design and mechanical analysis, ensuring robust, manufacturable designs that meet performance targets. An engineering degree is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electric machine design with a focus on mechanical aspects.
• Experience designing rotor systems, including magnet retention.
• Practical experience of motor build, testing, and validation.
• Experience working within multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and integration of electric machines.
• Define and develop thermal management strategies using air cooling.
• Own the design and integration of key motor components.
• Work closely with teams to ensure manufacturable designs.
