Bryden Wood is seeking experienced Principal Mechanical Engineers to lead on large-scale, multidisciplinary projects in London and St Albans. You will guide mechanical design across data centres and infrastructure, collaborating with architects, engineers, and clients to deliver innovative, high‑performance solutions.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a proactive mentoring approach, with a focus on sustainable, low-carbon design and effective project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or building services engineering.
• Experience in design and construction of data centres and large-scale facilities.
• Knowledge of RIBA/BSRIA design stages and construction processes.
• Experience leading the production and delivery of mechanical design within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead on high-profile projects across multiple locations.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to deliver high-quality, efficient designs.
• Coordinate and mentor engineers within multidisciplinary teams.
• Engage with clients to drive project success and ensure delivery milestones.
