Job summary

CloudHQ, LLC is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer, Construction SME to lead design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems for developer-led data center projects across Europe. You will act as the technical authority, guiding HVAC, cooling towers, AHUs, and fire suppression, ensuring scalability, reliability, energy efficiency, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience designing mechanical systems for data centers or similar critical facilities.
• Knowledge of EU building codes and energy efficiency practices.
• Ability to lead design reviews and coordinate with contractors.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical leadership for mechanical systems across project phases.
• Oversee HVAC, cooling towers, AHUs design and delivery.
• Guide on-site installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Ensure redundancy, maintainability, and energy optimization.
• Coordinate with consultants, tenants, and regulators.
