GENERAL SUMMARY

The Principal Mechanical Engineer – Aftermarket Services will provide engineering expertise supporting Customers, Sales, Tendering, Operations, and Field Service globally. Responsibilities include designing all types of pumping equipment, supporting tenders, and mentoring team members, ensuring solutions meet customer requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the AM Engineering Team providing technical support and design capability.
• Support Field Technical Services including pump assessments, upgrades, site supervision, and customer training.
• Review customer specifications and plan engineering activities.
• Allocate work within the team and collaborate across departments.
• Engage in full-cycle Mechanical Engineering Design tasks, ensuring standards compliance.
• Support downstream activities such as shop-floor, testing, and commissioning.
• Mentor team members and promote standardization to reduce risks.
• Establish external links related to discipline and work off-site as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong mechanical engineering skills with professional and customer-focused attributes.
• Proficient in technical report writing and pump performance testing.
• Ability to operate engineering software and influence its development.
• Excellent teamwork, organization, and communication skills.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years industry experience in mechanical design.
• Proven ability to guide and train colleagues and meet deadlines.
