Our client, a leading company in the water industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their team for water and wastewater projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design complex engineering processes within the water and wastewater industry.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop solutions that adhere to design codes.
• Lead mechanically biased projects, coordinating efforts across disciplines.
• Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures to minimize impact and prevent recurrence.
• Contribute technical expertise to project briefs.
• Provide mechanical insights during asset surveys, plant condition assessments, feasibility studies, optioneering, whole life costing, and preliminary designs.
• Provide technical sign-off and assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support testing and development of new technologies for research projects.
• Develop innovative tools to enhance engineering capabilities.
• Assist in establishing a 'Centre of Excellence' for engineering.
• Foster a cohesive, sustainable engineering structure from graduate level to industry experts.
