Michael Taylor Search & Selection Ltd is recruiting a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer for London. You will lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services from concept to construction, working with experienced engineers on a varied portfolio of commercial and residential schemes.

The role offers GBP65,000–GBP75,000 plus benefits, flexible hybrid working, and clear career progression in a growing consultancy.

Formación

• 5 years + experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
• Ideally have a HNC or HND and good technical knowledge of Mechanical design services.
• Experience working in the commercial sector.
• Have the right forward–thinking attitude.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and delivery of Mechanical building services projects.
• Produce detailed design and technical information packages in line with project programmes.
• Develop practical and innovative engineering solutions tailored to client requirements.
• Coordinate closely with architects, structural engineers, sustainability consultants, and wider design teams.
• Attend client and project meetings as a representative of the business.
• Utilise industry–standard software including CAD, Revit, and BIM platforms.
• Carry out engineering calculations and performance assessments to support design decisions.
• Support and mentor junior engineers where required.
• Assist in the successful delivery of projects through all key design stages.
