Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Principal Land Consultant to join our Leeds or Newcastle team, offering hybrid work from home and office bases in the UK.

You will lead land referencing, rights acquisition and stakeholder engagement on major infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland. You'll mentor staff, manage client relationships, and contribute to bids, CPD, and the Land Academy program while travelling across sites as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geography, Land/Estate Management, Agriculture or similar.
• Chartership or professional body membership is advantageous.
• Ability to travel to sites across UK and Ireland.
• Experience with land acquisition and consent processes.
• Strong negotiating and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful delivery of projects on time, within budget and to high standards.
• Advise on Land issues across the UK and Ireland, including statutory processes for land acquisition.
• Secure land rights for major infrastructure projects.
• Liaise with landowners, land agents, legal reps, planning authorities and clients.
• Mentor and develop staff; contribute to business strategy and bids.
• Support the writing of bids/tenders and CPD via Land Academy.
• Travel UK and Ireland; potential trips to GCC in India.
