Job summary

QinetiQ Limited in Farnborough is seeking a Principal IT Data Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership for IT data systems integration and AI-enabled solutions across projects.

You will lead engineering teams, translate customer requirements into IT solutions, and drive delivery across Waterfall and Agile methods while ensuring compliance with governance standards. Role requires travel to customer sites and a minimum attendance at three days per week.

The Role As a Principal IT Data Systems Engineer, you will provide Digital Engineering Technical Leadership and IT Data Systems Integration expertise to enable a Digital Engineering project to meet its business objectives working as a partnership with, Project and Programme Management and acting as a Product Owner.

Day-to-day, you’ll be leading engineering and technical teams with a particular focus on the IT Data systems solution acting as the Technical Leader to deliver high quality technical outputs in respect to IT Systems, Data Management and the Application of AI.

Your responsibilities will include:

Essential experience of the Principal IT Data Systems Engineer:

Essential qualifications for the Principal IT Data Systems Engineer:

This role is 37 hours per week based at either our Bristol, Amesbury, Farnborough or Malvern site with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week. Must be willing to travel to customer sites.
