Job summary

Leonardo invites applications for a Principal Integrated Circuit (IC) Design Engineer to contribute to advanced infrared imaging products used in remote sensing and thermal imaging. The role is based in Southampton with hybrid working options and a cross-disciplinary IC design team.

You will translate requirements into verifiable designs and drive verification across transistor, cell and block levels. The successful candidate will bring strong analogue, mixed-signal and/or digital IC design

Qualifications

• Experience in CMOS ICs or Readout ICs.
• Strong analogue, mixed signal and/or digital IC design skills.
• Transistor/block level layout design.
• Block level designing and schematic capture from scratch with simulation.
• Cadence IC design tool suite experience.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience leading more junior members of the team.

Responsibilities

• Design to specifications and complete mixed signal design tasks.
• Perform rigorous verification and generate verification evidence.
• Populate design documentation and reports.
• Ensure design processes and procedures are followed.
• Support design validation from manufactured samples.
