Job summary

CleanTech Talent is recruiting on behalf of a key client, an environmental and construction consultancy, for a Senior or Principal Hydrologist to lead water and drainage services nationwide. This remote UK role offers significant autonomy and responsibility for technical delivery across drainage design, SuDS and water treatment solutions.

You will lead multiple projects from feasibility to detailed design, manage budgets and programmes, and engage with the Environment Agency and other consultees

Qualifications

• Senior/Principal drainage or hydrology experience, ideally within consultancy.
• Track record designing SuDS schemes or construction-phase water treatment/pollution control solutions.
• Strong project management across concurrent commissions.
• Experience engaging with statutory consultees and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Business development experience (client relationships, bid/fee proposal preparation).

Responsibilities

• Own technical delivery across drainage design, SuDS, pollution control and sustainable water management.
• Lead commissions from feasibility through detailed design; manage budgets and programmes.
• Engage with Environment Agency and statutory consultees; drive proposals and client relationships.
