Job summary

CleanTech Talent is seeking a Senior or Principal Hydrologist to lead the drainage and water management service line. The role offers remote UK work with autonomous delivery across projects nationwide, including liaison with the Environment Agency and other stakeholders.

You will drive commissions from feasibility to detailed design while growing the team and managing budgets and programmes. The ideal candidate has senior drainage/hydrology experience, a track record with SuDS or water treatment

Qualifications

• Senior/Principal-level drainage or hydrology experience, ideally within consultancy
• Track record designing SuDS schemes or construction-phase water treatment/pollution control solutions
• Strong project management across concurrent commissions
• Experience engaging with statutory consultees and managing stakeholder relationships
• Business development experience (client relationships, bid/fee proposal preparation)

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery across permanent and temporary drainage design, SuDS, and water management.
• Manage commissions from feasibility through detailed design, budgets and programmes.
• Engage with Environment Agency and statutory consultees and drive client relationships.
• Build and lead the team around you to deliver multiple projects nationwide.
