Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Glasgow is seeking a Principal Flood Modeller to lead flood risk assessments and manage various projects across Scotland, England, and Ireland. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering and be a chartered engineer, with strong skills in flood modelling and project management. Responsibilities include delivering assessments, client management, and mentoring junior staff. Qualifications

• Degree qualified, ideally Chartered or Incorporated with an industry institution.
• Proven experience with flood risk analyses and project delivery.
• Experience managing teams and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of flood risk assessments and hydrological assessments.
• Manage projects and maintain client relationships.
• Mentor junior colleagues and assist in their development.

Skills

1D-2D modelling using Infoworks ICM or Flood Modeller

GIS analytical skills in ArcGIS and QGIS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Project management

Team supervision

Flood risk analysis

Education

Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline
