Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking a Principal Fire Engineer to deliver complex fire engineering projects and drive technical and commercial contributions across the business. This role focuses on high-quality service to clients, project leadership, and staying ahead of market trends.

You will engage with clients, prepare fee proposals, and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with AD B, BS and EN standards while mentoring the team to maintain excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in engineering.
• Postgraduate fire engineering qualification.
• Involvement and recognition with a professional body.
• Broad experience in a similar role.
• Broad knowledge of design and construction principles and standards.
• Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.

• Lead and deliver complex design projects independently and with a team.
• Provide high-level fire engineering services across sectors.
• Develop client relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
