Job summary

Hunter Dunning is seeking a Principal Fire Engineer in Colchester, Essex, offering hybrid and remote options. Lead technical delivery, develop fire strategies, mentor engineers, and collaborate with clients, design teams and approving authorities.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Fire Engineering, Chartered Engineer status or working towards it, 7+ years of consultancy experience, and strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation.

Hunter Dunning is working with a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy delivering commercial, residential, healthcare and education projects. This Principal Fire Engineer role involves leading technical delivery, preparing fire strategies, mentoring engineers and working with clients, design teams and approving authorities.

Your Experience

• Degree in Fire Engineering or related engineering discipline
• 7+ years of fire engineering consultancy experience
• Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and guidance
