A public sector client seeks two Principal Finance Business Partners on a permanent basis. The role involves financial advice to managers, performance monitoring, and deputising for the Deputy Head of Finance, requiring part-qualified CCAB status and local government finance experience.
My Local Government client is looking to recruit 2 Principal Finance Business Partner to join them on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Deputy Director of Finance, you will be responsible for ensuring that effective financial advice and support is provided to Budget Managers as required, supporting them in "managing their business" to achieve both financial and performance targets as well as be responsible for accurate and timely monitoring and reporting on the financial performance of assigned budgets, reporting variances corporately and to relevant Directors.
A key part of the role will be to deputise for the Deputy Head of Finance, as well as to be the lead financial officer for assigned services, maintaining a thorough understanding of funding arrangements including grants and the financial and business processes within the services.
In order to be considered for these roles you will need to be a part qualified CCAB accountant, with some local government finance experience.
The roles are permanent with 1 day every 2 weeks in the office. The salary range is 45,700 to 48,700.
