Job summary

JP Search Solutions in Manchester (Hybrid) is seeking an experienced Principal/Associate Environmental Due Diligence Consultant to lead high-quality due diligence projects for property and investment transactions.

You will review Phase 1 assessments, manage multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development while building strong client relationships to support growth of the environmental due diligence service.

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience in environmental due diligence, contaminated land or environmental consultancy.
• Strong report-writing and analytical skills with ability to communicate complex environmental issues clearly.
• Excellent project management and client-management skills.
• Experience delivering Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments and due diligence reports.
• Experience developing proposals, tenders and business development.
• Commercial awareness and ability to contribute to client development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage environmental due diligence projects for property, corporate and investment transactions.
• Undertake and review Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments and due diligence reports.
• Identify and evaluate environmental liabilities, risks and opportunities.
• Review historical land use, regulatory records and other technical information.
• Assess issues including contaminated land, pollution, permits, water, ecology and related constraints.
• Provide clear, commercially focused advice to clients and influence investment decisions.
• Manage project programmes, budgets, deliverables and multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior/mid-level consultants and contribute to methodologies.
