By joining us, you will work daily with technical experts within our established Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team, which comprises over 165 staff across the UK and Ireland.

This position offers an opportunity to manage environmental inputs to large-scale development projects across various sectors such as energy, transport, regeneration, ecommerce, minerals, waste, water, defense, aviation, and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

1. Provide Expertise: Manage environmental inputs to EIA screening, scoping reports, assessments, Environmental Statements, and supporting documents. Engage in all project stages from early strategy to operation, across multiple consenting regimes.
2. Ensure Quality: Deliver high-quality, compliant work adhering to quality management procedures.
3. Project Management: Manage resources and budgets effectively with support as needed.
4. Collaborate: Work with design teams to improve environmental outcomes, identify constraints, and develop mitigation and benefit opportunities.
5. Client Contact: Manage relationships with clients and internal teams.
6. Growth: Promote AECOM’s environmental services, identify business opportunities, and develop proposals.

Qualifications

To apply, demonstrate experience in managing multidisciplinary environmental inputs, providing consultancy services, understanding EIA processes, and relevant legislation. Essential skills include stakeholder engagement, team coordination, technical review, project management, and a relevant environmental degree (preferably Masters) with professional membership. Willingness to travel is required.

Bonus skills include Chartered Environmentalist status, staff mentoring, and experience with DCO/TWAO regimes.
