Job Description

Are you passionate about improving the environmental performance of infrastructure development projects and helping the UK to deliver its net zero commitments? If so, we’d love to hear from you at AECOM.

Join our established Environmental Impact (EIA) team, comprising over 165 staff across the UK and Ireland, and work on a variety of large-scale projects including energy generation, infrastructure, regeneration, and more.

Responsibilities

1. Provide Expertise: Manage environmental inputs to EIA reports and assessments across all project stages, ensuring quality and compliance.
2. Ensure Quality: Maintain high standards in deliverables, adhering to quality management procedures.
3. Project Management: Manage resources and budgets effectively within projects.
4. Collaborate: Work with design teams to improve environmental outcomes, identify constraints, and develop mitigation solutions.
5. Client Contact: Manage relationships with clients and internal teams.
6. Growth: Promote services, identify business opportunities, and develop proposals.

Qualifications

Candidates should demonstrate experience in managing multidisciplinary environmental inputs, understanding of EIA processes, planning legislation, and stakeholder engagement. A relevant environmental degree (preferably a Master’s) and professional membership are required. Willingness to travel is also necessary.

Bonus points for Chartered Environmentalist status, experience with DCO/TWAO regimes, and interest in management and mentoring roles.
