VIQU Energy Limited, a UK infrastructure specialist, is recruiting a Principal Environmental Consultant to lead Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for highways and major projects. You will manage environmental risks, liaise with engineers and clients, and ensure compliance with planning and environmental regulations.

You will guide junior team members, contribute to sustainability initiatives, and prepare technical reports and documentation.

Formación

• Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related subject.
• Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Strong environmental consultancy experience within highways, construction or infrastructure.
• Good understanding of EIA processes and relevant planning legislation.
• Experience delivering environmental assessments, consents and compliance requirements.
• Strong report writing, project management and communication skills.
• Experience managing budgets, resources and supporting team development.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.

About the Role

A well established organisation within the UK infrastructure sector is looking for a Principal Environmental Consultant to support the delivery of major highways and infrastructure projects. The role will focus on leading Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), managing environmental risks and ensuring projects meet relevant planning and environmental regulations. Working alongside engineers, project managers and clients, you will provide technical advice, support sustainability initiatives and help improve environmental standards across projects.

About You

You are an experienced environmental professional with a background in consultancy, ideally within highways, construction or infrastructure. You have a good understanding of environmental legislation and enjoy working with different teams to find practical solutions.

You are organised, confident managing projects and comfortable dealing with clients, stakeholders and technical challenges.
