Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. is seeking a Senior security leader for the Embedded Processing (EP) Core Technology Security team to strengthen the security of EP products across MCUs/MPUs, wireless devices, AI accelerators and system solutions.

You will guide security throughout the product lifecycle, collaborate with product divisions, software teams and ecosystem partners, and influence the company’s security strategy.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in embedded systems, semiconductor development, cybersecurity or related engineering disciplines.
• Experience with cryptographic algorithms design, implementation, and analysis (AES, RSA, ECC, PQC).
• Familiarity with FIPS and NIST SP800 series standards.
• Experience contributing to EU security standards bodies is highly desirable.
• Ability to influence customer product selection and act as cybersecurity authority.
• Experience delivering cybersecurity training, assessment, and certification services for regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive Security Strategy for EP products.
• Leads the definition and strategic direction of product security for Renesas MCU and MPU platforms.
• Maintain and improve security solution alignment across all Renesas products MCU and MPU groups.
• Identify key partners for enabling higher level infrastructure solutions.
• Engage with key customers, partners, and internal/external stakeholders to identify security challenges and find solutions.
• Work across global teams including engineering, FAE, Sales to ensure alignment and execution of security strategy.
• Provide technical enablement and training to internal and external stakeholders on security features and best practices.
• Track global security regulations and standards (CRA, RED, PSA, SESIP, NIST) and define strategic direction for feature products.
• Represent Renesas in industry security standards bodies and consortia, influencing direction and aligning internal strategy and roadmap.
• As internal expert, lead product teams on security compliance, certification and evaluation preparedness.
