Job summary

Catering Bridgend, a leading civil engineering contractor, is recruiting a Principal Engineer to provide strategic technical leadership on major infrastructure, water, energy and environmental projects across the UK.

You will drive design excellence from feasibility through to delivery, lead multidisciplinary teams, manage risk, and mentor engineers while maintaining buildable, commercially-focused solutions with a strong client focus.

Qualifications

• Lead multidisciplinary civil engineering projects across infrastructure and water.
• Strong understanding of design, construction methods and delivery.
• Experience managing technical workflows and risk.
• Excellent communication with clients and teams.
• Chartered status or actively pursuing chartership.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering input from feasibility through to delivery.
• Provide technical leadership during tender and bids.
• Develop construction methodologies and sequencing plans.
• Mentor and develop engineers.
• Represent the business in client meetings.
• Champion sustainable engineering and modern methods.
