Kier is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead delivery of complex construction engineering services across the built environment. The role involves temporary works design, checking and providing technical support to multi-project teams, with a focus on safety, buildability and sustainability.
You will work across civil, structural and geotechnical disciplines, lead design outputs, and contribute to tendering and preconstruction planning while maintaining high QA standards.
We're looking for civil, structural and/orgeotechnical engineers to join our team in various locations around the UK.
Locations: Birmingham / Bristol / Cambridge / Cardiff / Glasgow / Leeds / Liverpool / London / Manchester / Newcastle / Norwich / Plymouth – agile working, with up to 1-2 days per week from home if desired
Hours: 40 hours per week – flexibility on hours available if desired
Salary: Starting from £60k per annum

As part of our 100-strong team, you'll get to work on hundreds of projects across one of the most diverse and high-profile portfolios in the country, with access to Kier's £11bn+ project pipeline – supporting complex construction and major infrastructure schemes from concept through to delivery.
Leading the delivery of a broad range of complex construction engineering services, including some or all of: temporary works design and checking, reviewing permanent designs for compliance and buildability, supporting tenders and preconstruction planning, and providing technical support to overcome construction-stage and post-construction issues and defects.
