Job Title

Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer

Location

Key Responsibilities

• Develop functional design for Vehicle Control solutions for SSNA.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to oversee delivery of vehicle control solutions and strategies.
• Support assurance activities with the Office of the Chief Engineer.
• Work with engineering managers to deliver vehicle control systems using agile methods.
• Ensure timely delivery of engineering plans and provide guidance on engineering methods.
• Develop and mentor team members, fostering technical growth.
• Engage with legacy stakeholders to develop solutions based on existing designs.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Experience in designing large-scale C&I systems meeting various standards.
• Knowledge of managing non-functional requirements (EMC, shock, etc.) and industrial compliance.
• Proficiency in authoring/reviewing design documents (I/O schedules, specifications, interface control documents).
• Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Physics, Maths, or Science.

Desirable Skills

• Understanding of control system architecture and communication protocols (RS-485, PROFIBUS).
• Experience with IEC 61508 or similar functional safety standards.
• Experience with maneuvering systems from various industries.
