Job summary

CBSbutler is seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team within the Precision Guidance area. The role requires broad electronic knowledge across digital and analogue domains, and responsibility for requirements capture, schematic capture, PCB layout, and design verification tests.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electronic Engineering (or related) with experience in high-speed digital design, FPGA/DDR, analogue conditioning and power electronics, and the

Qualifications

• Bachelor level or higher in Electronic Engineering or related science
• SC clearance required
• Experience with PCB development tools and processes (Siemens EDA preferred)
• High-speed digital design including LVDS, JESD204 and Ethernet
• FPGA and processor circuit design with DDR memory and associated power
• Analogue circuit design for low-noise conditioning and ADC/DAC usage
• Power supply design emphasizing low noise and compact size
• Circuit simulation and PCB signal/power integrity analysis
• Design for cost, test and manufacturability (DFx)
• System and sub-system integration and debugging

Responsibilities

• Capture requirements, schematic capture, PCB layout and signal/power integrity checks
• Drive design reviews and coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams
• Develop and execute design verification tests
• Produce and maintain necessary design documentation for production transitions
