Job Title:
Principal Electrical Power Engineer

Salary:
Negotiable dependant on experience

What you’ll be doing:

1. Functional design and definition of Electrical Power Systems equipment
2. Authoring and reviewing technical documentation
3. Managing associated technical risks, assumptions, and dependencies
4. Providing advice on electrical power technical aspects across a broad range of engineering disciplines
5. Engaging with customers and suppliers to provide solutions to complex problems
6. Leading and guiding junior team members through the systems definition process
7. Traveling to various locations throughout the UK, including BAE, customer, and supplier sites

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

1. Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
2. Engineering Chartership or significant progress towards Chartership
3. Strong knowledge of AC and DC electrical power systems
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
5. Experience with Permanent Magnet Motors/Generators

The Steam Integrated Design Team (IDT):

As a Principal Electrical Power Engineer, you will be part of a new team working on innovative technologies for the British Navy, focusing on Turbo Generators. Relocation support packages are available for eligible roles.
