Job description

Context

With ambitious growth plans, SYSTRA Ltd is at an exciting juncture as we continue to expand and enhance our presence in the UK & Ireland. We are currently seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer (Building Services) to join our engineering design practice.

Main Duties

The Principal Electrical Engineer will lead a team of Electrical Engineers and act as MEP Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) and/or Lead Engineer on MEP projects. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring projects meet client requirements and standards.
• Delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Planning works and forecasting resources.
• Managing project changes and costs.
• Training and developing the electrical team.

Skills and Profile

• Knowledge of electrical services design in built environment and transport infrastructure.
• Experience with low voltage distribution, lighting, small power, containment, earthing, fire alarms, and intruder alarms.
• Experience with Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure is advantageous.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status preferred.
• Strong communication and team management skills.
