A little more about your role…

• Meet the requirements of a 'Principal Engineer' grade with a proven track record in leading projects and winning or successfully delivering commissions.
• Work in a joint leadership capacity within a multidisciplinary MEP team, providing design and technical advice on various projects.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, applying specific specialist experience as needed.
• Interpret client needs and project requirements to ensure full delivery.
• Supervise detailed designs and oversee the work of others.
• Lead feasibility studies for projects, considering discipline-specific factors.
• Direct the production of detailed and performance specifications, reviewed by colleagues prior to issue.
• Review design programs and resource allocation to ensure project completion.

YOUR TEAM - The Cardiff office

• Located in Cardiff, with convenient access via Cardiff Central and Queen Street Stations.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…

Key Technical Requirements:

• Understanding of UK and European regulations applicable to the discipline.
• Proficiency with electrical design software and Revit MEP.
• Ability to communicate technical details graphically.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Eligibility for UK Security Check (SC).

Electrical Skills:

• Low voltage systems, UPS, lighting, fire alarms, security systems, data cabling, lightning protection, etc.

Qualifications:

• BEng/BSc/MEng in engineering.
• Accredited degree or equivalent experience leading to Chartership.
• Working towards IEng or CEng status.
• Revit MEP training.
