Job Description:

We have a brand-new opportunity for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our MEP division based in our Manchester office.

It's an exciting time to join our MEP team! We have a proven track record working within the North of England, with offices in Leeds, Manchester and more recently Scotland. Working collaboratively with our North division, you will be joining a fun, highly engaged team who love what they do. Our team has a wealth of experience and will offer support, development opportunities and expert advice.

Your role will include:

  • Be a pro-active member of the MEP team, supporting with the day-to-day running of the electrical disciplines, working on multidisciplinary projects across a variety of building sectors.
  • Lead on projects and take responsibility for the technical delivery and financial profitability of the project.
  • Develop relationships with Clients, project managers and architects and actively identify opportunities for other disciplines to become involved in projects.

Our Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health (MEP) division:

Our MEP team are specialists in energy, sustainability, and engineering design. We bring buildings to life and create award-winning, high-performance environments that enhance the built environment – working across all sectors including commercial, industrial, leisure, retail, manufacturing, logistics, heritage and residential.

  • Building performance optimisation
  • Carbon verification and validation strategies
  • Daylight and sunlight studies
  • Sustainability benchmarking and environmental assessments
  • Strategic utility management services

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Relevant qualification at HNC, HND, Bachelors or Masters and ideally chartered status.
  • Proven experience working as a Principal or Senior Electrical Engineer with a track record of working within the UK on a range of mainstream building services projects.
  • Sound knowledge of BIM processes, Revit and IES/Amtech.
