I am currently working in partnership with a Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy in Manchester who are looking for a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join their vibrant and expanding Building Services Team.

Their Building Services team's mission is to make buildings more energy efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective to operate. They pride themselves on designing innovative and sustainable mechanical and electrical solutions that minimize natural resource use.

The Building Services team offers world-leading expertise with a proactive and collaborative approach to skill development and professional experience.

Responsibilities

• This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, client-focused Electrical Building Services expert to join their Manchester office, leading the delivery of innovative electrical design solutions for exciting projects in the UK, Ireland, and internationally.
• Working across sectors like Education, Commercial, Leisure, Healthcare, and Retail, you will lead a team of engineers and technicians, collaborating with various disciplines to deliver technically excellent, profitable projects.
• You will develop and nurture client relationships to maximize satisfaction and repeat business, and use your expertise to manage, motivate, and inspire less experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (MEng or BEng or equivalent) with extensive consultancy experience in electrical engineering within a building services context. Proven technical expertise in relevant design software and a portfolio demonstrating quality and client focus.
• Experience managing multiple projects and teams, exceeding client expectations, with a passion for creative and intuitive design.
• Excellent communication and project management skills are essential for this collaborative and client-focused role.
