We are looking for a Principal Primary Electrical Engineer local to London SW14, with a salary up to £65,000. We seek candidates with clear experience in BESS.

Our client is expanding their Electrical Engineering team as part of their ongoing success in delivering clean technology and renewable energy projects. They are now seeking a Principal Primary Electrical Engineer to play a key role in developing innovative energy solutions for clients across both public and private sectors.

This role offers the opportunity to engage in a wide range of technical tasks—from early-stage project design to stakeholder coordination and technical documentation—helping to shape the future of clean energy infrastructure in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or support engineering tasks on contestable and private (Balance of Plant) grid connection projects (typically at 132kV or 33kV)
• Prepare electrical schematics and drawings, including:
• KLD, SLD, AC/DC Protection Schematics, Cable Block Diagrams, SCADA, Wiring Diagrams, Cable/Core Schedules
• Specify and liaise with suppliers on key electrical components:
• Switchgear, Protection Panels, SCADA/PPC, G99 PQM, Batteries, Interface Boxes

Position: Principal Primary Electrical Engineer – Clean Technologies & Renewables

Location: Central London (Hybrid – 2 days in office: Wednesday & Thursday)
