You will join our High Rise Spearhead Department

As our new Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer, you will be part of a small but dynamic, global team. Our High Rise teams strive to be creative thinkers with design excellence and thought leadership at the forefront of our approach. We focus on concept designs using a highly digital and visual approach. You will be an important part of a close-knit team working on a wide variety of projects with signature architects in and around London and internationally. We have a supporting and collaborative culture and enjoy what we do! We are looking for like-minded and personable people to strengthen our team. We currently focus on digital and parametric design, believing that the future of our industry lies in working smarter, not harder. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  1. Electrical delivery on high-rise and/or complex projects.
  2. Undertake and oversee design work from concept through detailed design, ensuring technical excellence and outstanding client service.
  3. Complete and present designs in a highly visual and graphical style.
  4. Act as Lead Electrical Designer, coordinating tasks to meet all deadlines.
  5. React quickly to client and architectural requirements for plant space, riser needs, and energy strategy.
  6. Participate in competitions requiring innovative thinking.
  7. Develop and embed sustainable principles within our designs.

The key deliverables over the first 12-24 months will include:

  1. Becoming an integral part of the high-rise spearhead team, taking responsibility for electrical design of projects.
  2. Ensuring technical quality in electrical design output.
  3. Helping deliver projects profitably and to client satisfaction.

Your starting point for growth

From day one, we support your personal and professional development. For this role, we believe your starting point includes:

  1. Being a qualified Engineer with 8-10 years of experience and a proven track record in your core discipline, with knowledge of complementary disciplines.
  2. Having a degree in a relevant engineering field.
  3. Holding a CIBSE / IET / IMechE Engineering Council accredited honours degree.
  4. Being a Chartered Engineer or working towards IEng or CEng status.
  5. Understanding commercial and technical risks and acting appropriately.
  6. Having an interest or experience in digital and parametric design tools. We seek engineers aligned with our digital culture.

The right candidate will have a portfolio demonstrating creative thinking, flair, and broad technical skills, capable of producing complex engineering designs and managing complex geometries. You should be able to present engineering concepts at a high visual and graphic standard, with excellent spoken and written English for documentation, presentations, and workshops. International project experience is a plus.
