TRUE Engineers Limited in Cambridge is seeking a Principal / Associate Electrical Engineer to lead and develop a team delivering high-quality electrical building services design across education, commercial, hi-tech, residential, healthcare and public sector projects.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in electrical building services design projects.
• Accredited degree or higher qualification (HNC/HND) in a relevant discipline.
• Chartered status or working toward chartered status.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and building client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEP engineering teams delivering a range of project work.
• Manage risk within MEP projects with commercial acumen.
• Lead electrical building services concept and detailed design.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers.
• Produce reports, drawings and specifications for RIBA design stages.
• Use CAD and BIM (Revit) to design systems.
• Liaise with other professionals and attend meetings.
• Maintain good client relationships.

The Role

This role is to lead and develop a team providing high-quality electrical building services design across education, commercial, hi tech, residential, healthcare and public sector projects.

Responsibilities

• To lead MEP engineering teams delivering a range of project work
• Managing risk within MEP engineering projects; having good working knowledge of MEP scope/appointments and excellent commercial acumen
• To act as the lead engineer in a design team being responsible for electrical building services concept and detailed design
• Mentoring and developing junior engineers
• Producing reports, drawings and specifications to suit various RIBA design stages
• Using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit) software and other resources to design the systems required for the project
• Liaising closely with other professionals
• Attending a range of project group and technical meetings
• Marinating good client relationships.

Experience and Skills Required

• Significant experience within an electrical building services design
• Having an accredited relevant degree or higher educational qualification in an applicable discipline (HNC/HND)
• To have achieved or be working towards chartered status.
• Experience of developing junior engineers
• Able to maintain good working relationships with clients
