All elements of level A in the person specification are essential. During induction, you'll learn about the Career Progression Framework (CPF), which will help identify your strengths and development needs.

We aim to recruit a Principal Education & SEND Intelligence Analyst who will contribute to Medway Council’s vision of enabling residents to start well, develop, and lead healthy, fulfilling lives by providing high-quality data, intelligence, and information.

The successful candidate will:

  2. Create and maintain performance dashboards, apply advanced analytical and statistical techniques, and project future demand to optimize service delivery.
  3. Synthesize evidence from various sources and deliver clear, actionable insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
  4. Build strong stakeholder relationships, foster collaboration, and promote a data-driven culture within the Directorate.
  5. Stay updated with current methodologies and innovations in data analysis.
  6. Manage team performance and development.

In your application, please outline your knowledge, experience, and skills in the following areas:

  • Experience in intelligence analysis or a related field, demonstrating understanding.
  • Experience managing and executing complex projects independently, resulting in insightful analysis and reports.
  • Proficiency with software/tools such as Excel, SQL, R, and Power BI.
  • Experience mentoring, supervising, and training junior analysts.
  • Knowledge of data security, data protection, GDPR, and best practices.
  • Ability to communicate accurately with diverse audiences.

The successful candidate will require a Standard DBS check. For an informal discussion, contact Daniel Harper at daniel.harper@medway.gov.uk.

Medway Council has introduced Career Progression Frameworks (CPF) to support employee development and reward. The offered salary will be at level A unless CPF criteria for levels B or C are met. Opportunities for progression from levels A to B, and B to C, are available after appointment.
