Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal or Associate Director to join the Drainage Engineering team in the South East, shaping water, drainage and environmental solutions for transportation projects across the UK. You will deliver drainage designs from concept through to detailed design, lead client progress meetings, and manage a team of drainage engineers, ensuring high technical standards and commercial success.

Qualifications

• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status or degree qualification as required by the role.
• Extensive post-degree experience in designing sustainable drainage solutions.
• Knowledge of drainage design principles for infrastructure projects.
• Experience with Civil 3D, Causeway Flow, or MicroDrainage software.
• Familiarity with UK Building Regulations, Design Standards and Health & Safety regs.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of a wide variety of civil engineering projects including highway, rail, infrastructure and site development schemes.
• Lead projects from concept through to completion, ensuring quality and commercial success.
• Deliver drainage services for major transport and infrastructure projects in the UK.
• Lead client relationships and attend progress meetings.
• Manage a team of drainage engineers and develop their skills.
