Leonardo UK Ltd in Basildon is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Engineer – Digital to join our hybrid-working team. You will shape the Future Manufacturing strategy, ensuring efficient production technology introduction and alignment with MES, CDE and other digital tools across the UK and beyond.

The role involves leading MES integration, working with IT and partners, developing the digital thread across Supply Chain and Manufacturing, and mentoring junior engineers while driving continuous

Qualifications

• Minimum HND in relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience with manufacturing data systems and principles.
• Experience in supporting NPI Manufacturing Engineering Systems activities.
• Knowledge of PLM, ERP, MES and QMS/BMS.

Responsibilities

• Interface with IT and MES integration teams to support digital lifecycle activities.
• Engage with national and international partners on smart tooling and MES/CDE integration.
• Support development of digital thread for Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Repair.
• Lead MES integration in Smart Workbench as a Future Proof concept.
• Assist in evaluating and approving manufacturing methods and processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best-practice sharing.
