Job summary

Version 1 in Belfast seeks an experienced Full Stack Java Technical Lead to drive architecture and delivery of scalable software solutions. You will lead technical decisions, own estimates, shape requirements, and collaborate with PMs, BAs, Testing, Product, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.

The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of microservices, cloud, AI readiness, and hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, TypeScript, Angular, React, and Node.js in agile projects.

Qualifications

• Experienced Full Stack Java Technical Lead.
• Deep understanding of microservices and message-driven architectures.
• Experience with non-functional requirements and quality attributes.
• Proficient in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and SOLID/DRY principles.
• Hands-on with JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, React, Node, Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate.
• Kotlin is desirable.
• Experience in estimation and sizing.
• Experience in integration and API design.
• Exposure to cloud technologies.
• Interest in emerging AI technologies.
• SC eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership within a team to deliver scalable, secure solutions.
• Work within an agile delivery methodology to ensure timely, high-quality software.
• Take technical ownership of a product, including design, estimation, shaping, and user story creation.
• Document architecture, configuration, releases, and support handover.
• Collaborate with PMs, BAs, Testing, Product and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Clearly communicate technical designs to stakeholders with varying levels of technical ability.
• Provide knowledge transfer to team members and customers.
• Coach and develop junior team members and the wider community.
• Foster a positive environment and facilitate team collaboration.
