Job summary

Taylor Hopkinson Limited seeks a Principal Designer for a major infrastructure project in Scotland. You will lead CDM compliance, own PD procedures, and chair governance across portfolio projects.

Responsibilities include coordinating internal and external designers, facilitating hazard workshops, and supporting pre-construction information and temporary works design processes on site.

Responsibilities

• Review / familiarize with existing clients Transmission CDM procedures, especially any related to the role of Principal Designer and follow these procedures.
• Take portfolio ownership of clients Transmission Principal Designer related procedures and documentation
• Ensure all (Internal and External) Designers are complying with their duties under CDM for the projects in the portfolio.
• Chair regular Principal Designer meetings for the projects within the portfolio
• Act as Point of Interface with all other Principal Designers.
• Assist Client in ensuring acceptable Temporary works design process
• Assist Client on Pre Construction Information development and Construction Phase Plan review.
• Chair site specific HAZARD workshops and proactively work with people to close
